A Marvelous Math Teacher

"Knowing I'm a good teacher now and having them take that away is worse than never having it all."

The Marvelous Math teacher arrived in the United States at age 12. He attended middle school and high school. He first encountered some difficulty with paperwork in high school when considering attending college.  Fortunately, he learned that a local college provided a program in high school for people who wanted to become teachers. He was able to enroll in classes in high school to prepare to teach.

The Marvelous Math teacher received a scholarship to attend college and enrolled in a teaching program. He took coursework to become a math teacher. Before his student teaching practicum, he was able to be fingerprinted but ran into some difficulty without a social security number.  Since he did not have a green card he could not complete his student teaching.  The college was able to help him graduate but not complete his teaching license.
